Comments:
In regards to the UK, I know that there is a lot of opposition from those who live in rural areas. There have been proposals for massive windfarms out in the English countryside and the residents of these areas strongly object due to the fact that the wind farms will destroy the beautiful landscape that they are surrounded by. I think that for now it will stay in isolated areas until they can find a better way of doing it so as to not create such an eyesore.

haha, well smoking makes me feel sick, so what does that tell you about wind turbines?

I concur with fish smoking is cool and damn it sam you know it!
and as for wind power. it is building steam and support people just have to get the idea through their heads that they add to a skyline much like a city-scape rather than detract from it.
sam go smoke a fag!

I think this is very similar to the discussions going on in kansas. people don't want to put up wind turbines because it will ruin the landscape. Now i agree at times the kansas landscape is very beautiful, however it obviously isn't on the level of beauty to bring in some flipping tourists. kansas is windy, let's flipping use that to our advantage. but then again i'm just a kansas boy, i'm not as smart as all those other people desended from monkey's.

oh yeah,

and only cool people smoke

i've smoked lots of fags while i've been over here, they have quite the gay scene...oh wait, you're talking about cigarettes...uhhh...oops

anyways, gabe, i hear you have a kid now, do tell

eric is correct.
the wind debate in kansas is similar.the only difference is that kansas has massive amounts of open pasture land in which wind farms and cattle grazing can coincide. Right now the issue, in kansas, is placing the wind farms in the flint hills. these grassy hills are questionably the most beautiful portion of kansas. so of course people are going to bitch and oppose the turbines. there is a large farm in montezuma (or something like that)kansas that is sucessful and by the way huge. the difference is it is in the flat, dry portion of the prairie where it makes sense to invest wind farms. the issue there becomes how to transport the power from BFE to the rest of the country. hydrogen fuel cells?? hope this wasn't too much of a rant.
sam the makiah is doing well and being a dad is really cool. hard to fully explain but awe inspiring and motivating.
peace to my peeps

i fully support wind power! end comment.

i fully support anal sex! end orgasm.
