  thoughts on terrorism
just wanted a place to vent and comment on the issue due to the events in london and across the world. let the opinions and frustration out.

how can we design in response to safety not to fear, and do this without creating concrete bunkers for people to live and work in.

Comments:
Blair had a interesting que on the statement that he gave to the BBC:

"It is 'particularly barbaric' that this should occur when people are meeting to tackle poverty in Africa...and in the long term start to solve the problems with our environment."

It's so sad to hear what happened. this 'attack' hit infastructure. and as it looks it will be shut for awhile (bus, train, tube, road) this is a hard hit to the city as a whole...b/c it now effects ALL who travel by those routes. not to make light about this, but the 'tube' is a concrete shell. don't know why this happens...we can all make claim to the G8, but i don't know. i'm very curious to see how LDN settles this...if the backlash will be up'd security measures to public transit, much in the reaction the US took. more from others.

chickenshit terrorists. i wish that they would have the balls to show their face around me, i would rip their fucking throats out.

however, i don't think that london will be phased by what has happened. from what i have heard, lots of people are still going about their daily business, going to work and not allowing theirselves to be affected. i just saw a video from a camera phone taken by a passenger on the underground, and everyone was quite calm and left the trains in a calm, ordered fashion. london's history has been plagued by adversity, and i do not think that this blast will thwart their determination.

yea they have had their share of IRA'isms.

the problem is it happened to public transportation system.which during teh blitz bomings of the ira was a safehaven for the public. the tube relays 3/4 of the london buisness population to and from the city. while londonoinians are gritty and level headed it does non the less affect them and their families. it will hopefully solidify their resolve and unite the people towards peace. that is the only positive aspect that can come of these events. the unity of the people that follows.
i believe the brits will continue to tell the terrorist cowards to fuck off as they have before.
